Potato block will be presented at the AGROVOLGA 2022 exhibition

18 April 2022, Monday

From July 6 to 8, Kazan will host the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition AGROVOLGA 2022 Its uniqueness lies in the combination of several sites at one location: a modern exhibition pavilion, open areas, a livestock arena for cattle, Tractor Show, a field for demonstrating agricultural machinery in action, as well as experimental fields.

In 2022, more than 30 companies will demonstrate their achievements in breeding, diversity in the field of fertilizers and protection products in the experimental fields. In addition to the classic plots, this year there will be a long-term experimental field with fodder grass mixtures, where it will be possible to visually compare several manufacturers. More than 300 promising and most adapted novelties of domestic and foreign selection will be presented at the variety testing site, among them: winter crops, varieties and hybrids of cereals and legumes, fodder and industrial crops.

For the first time at the agricultural exhibition in Tatarstan this summer, the Potato Block will be presented with the leading players in the industry. Given the relevance of the issue of import substitution, and the need to saturate the consumer market with domestic products, this decision turned out to be very useful.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, much attention is currently paid to the development of the potato cluster, including in terms of breeding and seed production. It is planned to create a republican selection and seed center, which will ensure the formation of a continuous chain from the creation of new domestic varieties of potatoes, their promotion to the market, the cultivation of high-quality seeds to the effective production of marketable potatoes. The necessary measures of state support for this industry are also being formed.
