This was stated today by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at a regular meeting of the operational headquarters for monitoring the situation in the agro-industrial complex and the food market. Relevant information is sent to retail chains. The agency expects that this will have a positive impact on prices in the near future.
According to him, at present, all enterprises in the industry are operating normally, and the situation on the food market is assessed as stable. Products are delivered to retail outlets in a timely manner. At the same time, Dmitry Patrushev called on the management bodies of the agro-industrial complex of the subjects to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis, paying special attention to the enterprises of the processing complex.
To support producers of bread and milk, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation provided additional subsidies this year in the amount of 2.5 billion rubles and at least 10 billion rubles, respectively. By the end of March, the regions will receive federal funds for bakers, and in the summer - for livestock breeders for the purchase of feed.
The main task is a timely and high-quality sowing campaign. “Now the most important stage for the agro-industrial complex begins - spring field work. In fact, this is the foundation of Russia's food security. According to the plans, the total sown area will exceed 81 million hectares, which is more than in 2021,” the head of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized. The sowing campaign this year began earlier than the average long-term dates: by now, more than 90 thousand hectares have already been sown. Winter crops are also being fed. Dmitry Patrushev urged the leadership of the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex to keep under personal control the full provision of agricultural producers with seeds, machinery, fuels and lubricants and mineral fertilizers.
