Today, Kazan Agrarian University hosted the opening of the regional stage of the WorldSkills Russia championship in the Digital Farming competence, supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The opening was attended by Nail Zalakov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Nail Khamidullin, Vice-Rector of Kazan Agrarian University.
“I am sure that the competencies and knowledge that you get here will undoubtedly be useful in your future work. Because everything related to digitalization has actively entered our life today. No industry, including agriculture, can live without digitalization. The world is changing and I think that in 5 years there will be no classic agronomists, but there will be digitalizers, ”said Nail Zalakov.

Within the framework of the event, certificates were awarded to the participants of the regional stage and Vildan Fatykhov, a 2nd year student of the Chistopol Agricultural College, was awarded for the 2nd place in the final of the IX National Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) - 2021 (competence "Digital Agriculture") and 2nd place in The third industry championship according to WorldSkills standards in the field of information technology DigitalSkills 2021 (competence "Digital farming").
