First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov took part in the meeting "On the progress of the harvest and forecast of sown areas for 2022". The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khatuov.

“We plan to keep the sown area in 2022 at the level of the current year. In general, there will be no big changes in the context of crops, except that the fodder wedge will be increased next year, ”he said.
As for the plan for the purchase of mineral fertilizers, the First Deputy Minister stressed that its implementation as of the current date is 83% (32.6 thousand tons). The declared volume is planned to be fulfilled by the end of the year.
The provision with seeds of grain, leguminous and cereal crops for the harvest of 2022 is 109% (345 thousand tons) of the need. To date, work has been completed to bring them to sowing condition. Also, work is underway to purchase imported seeds - corn, sunflower and other crops.
The activity of agricultural enterprises of the republic in carrying out activities for liming acidic soils is high. Today, with the plan of 80 thousand hectares, liming has been carried out on an area of 74.4 thousand hectares, or 93% of the plan.
