Winners of the Tastes of Russia contest were announced

Today, the ceremony of announcing the finalists and winners of the national competition of regional food brands "Tastes of Russia" took place. Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and others took part in it.

Products that reflect the flavor of the Tatar table were announced for the contest (Tatar honey, Tatar duck kazylyk Bulgaria, Elabuga gingerbread, Tatar tea, kazylyk, Tatar talkysh kalyave, Kazan duck, chak-chak Kazan, kvass drink Elabuga, duck breast dried in Tatar style, candy "Bird Elabuga", Tatarstan honey "Tatar Balls", Tatarstan grape drink, Tatar kaymak, tatar court, Tatar katyk, Laishevsky cheese from goat's milk). The winner of the nomination "People's Choice" was "Chak-chak Kazan".

"It is gratifying that the Tatar national delicacy, chak chak, has become the favorite in the popular vote. Taking this opportunity, I want to invite everyone to Tatarstan to try our national dishes (triangle, kazylyk, gubadya, talkysh kalyave, kystyby). We are always glad to welcome guests," Rustam Minnikhanov said.

 

The experts, in turn, stressed that chak-chak is a very well-known product that is in demand throughout the country.

"During such solemn ceremonies, you feel that despite any pandemics, new food production is emerging. It is very important that both citizens of the Russian Federation and abroad know about our products. I am sure that our retailers will do everything to ensure that the products that won were on the best store shelves!", - said Dmitry Patrushev.

More than a million Internet users voted for the contestants. Thus, the competition allows you to learn about national products and their history, get acquainted with farms that produce high-quality products, and help producers in their promotion.
