Reclamation facility opens in Tatarstan after reconstruction

14 October 2021, Thursday

A new hydraulic engineering structure has been put into operation near the settlement of Bagishevo. Its reconstruction was carried out within the framework of the federal target program "State Program for the development and regulation of agricultural products, raw materials and food markets".

The need to reconstruct the irrigation system was due to the fact that during its operation, the pipes of the irrigation network with pipeline fittings became unusable. Hydraulic structures were worn out and did not ensure the normal operation of the system.

The body of the dam, as well as spillway structures were restored. On the irrigated area, modern wide-reach sprinkler machines "Kazanka" of domestic production are installed. These are produced by Kazan Irrigation Equipment Plant LLC.

The reconstruction of the irrigated area will increase the yield of grain crops to 35-40 c/ha, perennial grasses to 50-60 c/ha. Vegetable crops are also planned to be cultivated on the irrigated area.

In recent years, within the framework of federal and regional programs in the Republic of Tatarstan, more than 32 thousand hectares of irrigated land have been reconstructed, more than 200 km of water supply have been laid, more than 450 ponds have been brought into standard technical condition. Over 5.5 billion rubles have been attracted for land reclamation over seven years.

This year, within the framework of the federal targeted program and with the participation of Rostechnadzor of the Russian Federation, 4 federal reclamation facilities with a total area of 2,270 hectares were commissioned at the beginning of the year.  The total cost of these objects is 270 million rubles.
