KDW-2021: main trends in the digitalization of agriculture

The international forum "Kazan Digital Week - 2021" opened in Kazan today.

The main purpose of the forum is to form an annual platform for scientific, technical and commercial communication between developers and users of technologies, products and services of digital transformation.

Within the framework of the forum, a round table meeting was held on the main trends in the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov took part in the work.

The discussion was opened by Olga Gatagova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. In the online mode, she welcomed the participants and stressed that the task is to prove the modernity, innovation, high technology of the agricultural industry and break stereotypes about backwardness.

In his speech, Marat Zyabbarov focused on the main issues of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex of the republic.

"The agro-industrial complex is the most important component of the economy of Tatarstan. Digitalization is a key factor in the development of the Agro-industrial complex. Today, a set of digitalization programs is being developed on the territory of the republic, affecting all spheres of agriculture," he said.

On June 2, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a strategic session at which significant solutions for the Ministry were developed taking into account digitalization. The most promising and significant projects for the field of agriculture were highlighted. The projects were presented to the Ministry of Digitalization of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. As a result, there are 19 projects on digitalization of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Tatarstan.

All of them are united by one big portal - "Agropoliya".

Agropoliya is a single information platform for farmers. It combines digital, analytical and financial solutions that help agricultural producers to obtain analytical information on areas, up-to-date information on new technological solutions for the agro-industrial complex and tools, sell and purchase agricultural products online, as well as post resumes to applicants, and farms that have available vacancies.

Agropoliya has already 10 services in operation, 2 are under development and 7 are planned for the next few years. At the moment, more than 2,000 agricultural producers have a personal account, which receives information on more than 1,000 indicators.
