Tatarstan animal breeders can now get online advice from veterinarians and animal technicians at any time of a day. Thanks to the unique telemedicine service, a veterinarian can provide qualified assistance to farm animals without delay. This service was launched by Rosselkhoznadzor together with the company "Vetexpert", and was called "Televeterinarian".

The creation of the "Televeterinarian" is primarily due to the lack of specialists in the field of veterinary medicine. Today, there is a particular shortage of qualified veterinarians in rural areas, because many young specialists leave to work in big cities after graduating from educational institutions. Thus, settlements located at considerable distances from large cities can be difficult to maintain, and it is necessary to travel thousands of kilometers.

To solve this problem, the Televeterinarian service has been launched on the Our Farming platform. Experienced veterinarians and animal technicians promptly answer questions about care in an online format, and give recommendations on treatment, maintenance and nutrition of animals. They also provide assistance in drawing up a schedule of tests and vaccinations, preparing accompanying documentation for the transportation of animals, in matters of breeding and mating, technical support of production processes, as well as obtaining legal support for interaction with the State Veterinary Service.

To use the service, you need to choose the appropriate tariff right on the site "Our Farming". In the future, it is planned to expand the capabilities of the "Televeterinarian" with the help of augmented and virtual reality technologies.

"In the conditions of an epidemiological situation, the examination and treatment of animals in online and virtual reality is especially in demand. We are sure that the service will be useful, because it meets the needs of our target audience – small farms – and will allow them to significantly simplify the process of receiving veterinary care," said Elena Baturova, director of the Center for the Development of Financial Technologies of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
