The main heroes of Sabantuy: leaders of agriculture were awarded during the national holiday
Today, the national Tatar holiday Sabantuy was held in Kazan. The main venue for the celebration was the Birch Grove of the village of Mirny, where 11 municipal districts of Tatarstan opened their farmsteads.
Each district tried to surprise the guests of the plough festival with its uniqueness. So, the Rybno-Slobodsky district brought deer for the guests of the Maidan, which were brought to Tatarstan from the Altai Mountains thanks to the project of the peasant farm "Wild Farm". The aim of the project is to preserve wildlife and develop tourism on the territory. Since 2014, imported animals have been raised on the territory of the Shumbutsky Reserve (located 70 km from Rybnaya Sloboda). In 2017, 15 deer were released into the wild.
The guests of honor of the holiday were the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan-the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and other officials.
Opening of the holiday on the Maidan began with a welcoming speech of the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
"Today we celebrate the traditional holiday of farmers, when all spring field work is completed, good seedlings have turned green in the fields, but despite the weather conditions, a rural resident always hopes for a rich and good harvest," said Marat Zyabbarov. He thanked the workers of the villages for their hard work and perseverance.
The holiday continued with the celebration of people of labor-workers of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan. Representatives of the labor dynasties of the Abzalovs from the Nizhnekamsk district and the Vasilevs from the Mendeleevsky district proudly took the stage, the work experience of the heads of farms is more than 40 years.
Then the veterans of the agro-industrial complex took the stage. Talgat Khuzin from Sabinsky district devoted 53 years to agriculture. The work experience of Rakif Gatin from the Mamadysh district in agriculture is 38 years, he heads the farm. Rashit Miftakhov, whose work experience is 27 years, today works as a specialist in the financial and economic department of the agricultural administration of the Arsky district. Sagadatulla Tukhbatullin's work experience is 30 years. To this day, he heads the permanent commission on ecology and land use of the district council. Minalim Umerov, having worked in the industry for 39 years, has been a representative of the Council of veterans of the Agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Alkeevsky district.
After them, machine operators and animal breeders of agricultural enterprises of the republic were invited to the stage. All of them became the most important guests of the plow festival.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Sabantuy is a favorite holiday of Tatar people. "For many centuries, its hospitable Maidan has been gathering hardworking farmers and all those who are close to their native language, traditions and customs of their ancestors," the President of the Republic of Tatarstan said.
He stressed that the Sabantuy holiday is traditionally celebrated by workers who ensure the food well-being of Tatarstan and the country in general. "Today, the Kazan Maidan rightfully honors the best grain growers and livestock breeders, famous veterans of agriculture," said Rustam Minnikhanov.
