The trademark "Tatarstan Baly" is officially registered in Tatarstan
This was announced today in the Tatar-inform news agency by Marat Minnebayev, General Director of the Department of Aquaculture and Beekeeping of the Republic of Tatarstan, at a press conference dedicated to the preservation and development of beekeeping in the republic.
“The verbal element "TATARSTAN BALY" in translation from the Tatar language means "Tatarstan honey", indicates the type and composition of goods and related services. The trademark is officially registered by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property", said Marat Minnebayev.
It will apply to the following types of goods: beeswax for the production of cosmetics, food additives from bee royal jelly, honey; propolis, plant pollen [raw materials], non-alcoholic beverages based on honey.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reminds that the following measures are being taken in the republic to prevent the death of bees:
1) The Ministry, together with the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoznadzor" for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of Aquaculture and Beekeeping of the Republic of Tatarstan, developed an instruction on the prevention of bee poisoning with pesticides for beekeepers and agricultural producers of the Republic. 2) Working groups (emergency response groups for non-compliance with the regulations on the use of pesticides and agrochemicals) and WhatsApp groups have been created in each district. They include specialists of regional agricultural administrations, agronomists of agricultural formations, beekeepers of districts, as well as representatives of rural settlements, Rosselkhoznadzor services, the Rosselkhoznadzor Center, veterinary associations, the State Budgetary Institution "Department of Aquaculture and Beekeeping of the Republic of Tatarstan".
3) Letters were sent to agricultural organizations of the republic on compliance with Federal Law No. 109-FZ of 19.07.1997 "On safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals", as well as SanPiN 1.2.2584-10 "Hygienic requirements for the safety of testing, storage, transportation, sale, application, neutralization and disposal of pesticides and agrochemicals", on the need to inform the population about field treatments within approved time (filling in an informative table).
4) In order to unify the uploaded data and fill in a single service for providing state support measures for the agro-industrial complex, a register of beekeepers has been formed. Information about it is posted on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. It also contains information about veterinary diagnostic laboratories for the determination of the active substance of pesticides.
If death of bees is detected, beekeepers should contact the district village council, the department of agriculture of the district and the republican state veterinary association.
