Labor People: The success story of a zootechnic breeder from Kukmorsky district
Today, the hero of our column "People of Labor" is Vladimir Ilyich Pavlov, who works as a zootechnic breeder in the agricultural firm "Rassvet" of the Kukmorsky district.
Vladimir's love for his native village and animals was born in his soul from childhood. That is why he decided to connect his life with agriculture.
"My mother worked on this farm. I followed her, helped her, I was interested in it. In high school, I worked part-time here. And in the 11th grade, I was offered to go to zootechnics, " he recalls.
Vladimir graduated from the Kazan Veterinary Academy, and now he is studying in absentia for a master's degree. He had an internship in Germany and Kazakhstan. In Bavaria, he visited a small family farm. He worked as a farmer's assistant.
"I worked in the field and on the farm with calves. In Germany, I saw firsthand how the most advanced technologies are used in agriculture. Many things were new. Modern technologies save time and help to establish a waste-free production. They have feed centers, feed mills, automatic feed supply, and a biogas plant at their advanced farms", the animal breeder shares his impressions.
The agricultural firm "Rassvet" is not one of the last in our republic. Automation of technologies, indicators of farm productivity are increasing from year to year. The farm has a potential, the construction is being carried out in full force. The herd on the farm is expanded at the expense of young animals. Feed is harvested by themselves.
"The main indicator is the long-lived cows of the district. We are proud of them. The yield per cow is slightly higher than 9.5 kg, the yield of calves is 98%, " says Vladimir Pavlov.
Despite the fact that Vladimir has been working in this position for only a year and a half, he has already managed to fully get used to his work. His main task is to control the entire process of cows vital activity. In addition, all the data must be recorded in special spreadsheets: the volume of milk yield, the number of calves born, their names and other important information is contained in computer programs. The agricultural firm "Rassvet" sells 32 tons of milk daily.
Breeding work is quite complex and long-term. Here you need to take into account every nuance and pay attention to individual indicators. Therefore, there are special buildings for insemination of heifers and small calves, where the animals are under close supervision.
According to Vladimir, the most important thing in the work of a livestock breeder is punctuality, love of work and knowledge of his business.
