News from the fields: Farmers of Tatarstan are actively working on the preparation of feed
The farmers of the republic have a busy time. They have to prepare high-quality haylage and hay to provide the cattle population with a solid feed base.
According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, all farmers of the republic are engaged in forage harvesting. To date, farmers have mowed 106.5 thousand hectares of perennial grasses, including 21469 hectares for hay, 79867 hectares for haylage, 5346 hectares for green fodder. 233.6 thousand tons of haylage and 14.2 thousand tons of hay were harvested.
Farmers of Atninsky (23,508 tons), Tetyushsky (16,200 tons), Zainsky (15,396 tons) and Aktanyshsky (11,860 tons) districts are actively working in this direction.
