For some people, summer is a time of rest, and for agricultural workers it is a serious time for foraging and summer pasture maintenance.
According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, farmers of 28 districts are engaged in forage harvesting.
To date, farmers of the republic have mowed 20.1 thousand ha of perennial grasses, of which: 3126 ha - for hay, 16.3 thousand ha- for haylage, 727 ha - for the green fodder. 672 tons of hay and 39602 tons of haylage were harvested. Farmers of Zainsky (6867 tons), Nurlatsky (4188 tons), Aznakaevsky (3946 tons) and Sarmanovsky (3600 tons) districts are actively working in this direction.
