Today, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, visited the Kaibitsky municipal district. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.During the visit, they discussed with farmers the pace of sowing campaign and got acquainted with the implementation of state programs.
The meeting with representatives of the agro-industrial complex took place in a field near the village of Bolshoe Podberezye. The head of the district Albert Rakhmatullin reported on the progress of spring field work. Grain crops occupy 32 thousand hectares, of which 20.7 thousand hectares are allocated for spring crops. In general, the sowing was completed by 30%.
Today, more than a thousand people and more than 100 pieces of equipment are involved in field work. The head of the district noted that it is planned to complete the sowing campaign by May 12. "The necessary equipment is available. More than 7 thousand tons of seeds were harvested, of which 90% are reproductive. This year, farms have accumulated 52 kg of mineral fertilizers per hectare - this is more than a year earlier. All farms are currently provided with diesel fuel, " Albert Rakhmatullin said.
Marat Zyabbarov noted that the district needs to catch up in animal husbandry: compared to last year, there is a slight decrease in the number of livestock.
Rustam Minnikhanov called for more active development of livestock farms, the use of grants and other forms of support for villagers. "Agriculture means jobs. We need to increase the number of livestock, develop dairy farming. In the village, milk is the main source of income, " the President of the Republic of Tatarstan added.
In general, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that much attention is paid to agriculture in the Kaibitsky district: "We have just looked at it: all the fields have been processed, work is organized everywhere."
He also recalled the preventive measures against the coronavirus, and stressed that the most effective means is vaccination. "Today, the vaccination is available in the republic, several vaccination points are organized in each district," the President of the Republic of Tatarstan said.
Then Rustam Minnikhanov visited the village of Bolshoe Podberezye, where he laid flowers at the obelisk in memory of the fallen during the Great Patriotic War, and also visited the wooden church built with the support of local patrons. The cult object was erected on the site of the stone church in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh, which was destroyed in the Soviet years.
After that, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the museum complex dedicated to the history of tillage and rural life. The museum is organized with private funds. On the territory of 22 thousand square meters there are 2 windmills, a water mill, old barns and a Russian peasant hut. The exhibition presents various agricultural machines (tractor DT-54, flax harvester), agricultural tools (plow, hay rake, potato diggers), horse carts and various sledges of the XIX and XX centuries. Rustam Minnikhanov highly estimated the new museum complex and suggested to attract tourists.
