Marat Zyabbarov: Export of products of the Republic of Tatarstan to Turkmenistan in 2020 amounted to 3.4 million US dollars
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov met with the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Orazmyrat Gubrannazarov, Director of the Central Material Support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Turkmenistan Merdan Dzhumaev, Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Dovran Khudayberdyev, with a view to identifying promising areas of cooperation.
The delegation of Turkmenistan is in Kazan on a working visit. The main goal is to participate in the events of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
Opening the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov spoke about the peculiarities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and possible areas for cooperation.
Marat Zyabbarov stressed that Tatarstan companies have experience of cooperation with Turkmenistan. “Export of products of the Republic of Tatarstan to Turkmenistan at the end of 2020 amounted to 3.4 million US dollars. The main share (77%) falls on sunflower oil - 3.2 thousand tons were supplied for the amount of 2.6 million US dollars, chocolate and other food products are in second place in the export of products, they account for 7.3% for the amount of 250 thousand dollars (113 tons), sugar is in third place in terms of export volume - with a volume of 405 tons for 152 thousand dollars, ”the minister said.
He also added that the supply of ketchup accounted for 2.1% and 72 thousand dollars, products for making sauces - 2.9% or 100 thousand dollars, alcoholic beverages 2.1% - 72 thousand dollars. Marat Zyabbarov said that the Republic of Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Turkmenistan in a number of areas.
The Republic of Tatarstan can export cereal seeds, cereals, legumes, flax, mustard, potatoes, sunflower oil, meal, sunflower cake, granulated beet pulp, sugar, flour, and Tatarstan also offers for export dairy products produced by enterprises of the republic and agricultural machinery.
In his response, Orazmyrat Gubrannazarov noted the great potential in trade and economic relations between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan. “We are interested in expanding mutual cooperation. We are also interested in the supply of wheat grown in Tatarstan, unrefined vegetable oil, sugar, meat, ”the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan emphasized.
As part of the meeting, Marat Zyabbarov presented to Orazmyrat Gubrannazarov a book written for the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan “The Age of Trials and Victories. Stories of people and earth ”.
