Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov reported on the results of the livestock industry in agricultural formations of the Republic of Tatarstan today at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was held by videoconference with all municipal regions by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was attended by RT Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin.

In January 2021, agricultural producers earned 7.8 billion rubles, of which 6 billion rubles falls on livestock, with a 6% increase over the same period last year. 118 thousand tons of milk (5% growth) were produced, 109 thousand tons (104% by 2020) for the amount of 2.8 billion rubles (7% growth) sold.

Such favorable market conditions make it possible to maintain the growth rate of milk volumes and increase the level of profitability. The efficiency of milk production varies by region. While some are increasing their profits (Mamadyshsky, Nizhnekamsky, Yutazinsky districts), others are trying to reduce losses.

Today, agricultural enterprises of the republic daily pump more than 3,850 tons of milk, receiving about 102 million rubles from sales.

Out of 43 municipal districts, only 14 suck higher than the average republican level (in the republic on average - 17.3 kg). No positive dynamics so far in Kamskoye Ustye, Mendeleevsk, Zelenodolsk, Verkhniy Uslon.

This year, more than 822 million rubles are subsidized to increase milk productivity (of which federal support - 477 million rubles, republican - 345 million rubles). At the same time, 314 million rubles are additionally provided for farms that have increased the number of dairy cows.

Lenar Garipov recalled: the regions that did not fulfill the Agreement on milk production at the end of 2020 must return the subsidies received. He stressed that there are many advanced farms in the republic with high milk productivity. To improve the qualifications of managers, zoo and veterinary specialists in animal husbandry, training seminars with practical exercises are planned for 2021 on the basis of the Elita breeding enterprise, the Veterinary Academy, the Tatar Institute for Retraining of Personnel, the Sabinsky and Kukmorsky Agrarian Colleges.

Speaking about meat production, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan said: 34,700 tons of livestock and poultry were raised in January 2021 (100% by 2020), of which more than half of the volume is poultry meat (18,200 tons).

The main producers of poultry meat are Chelny-Broiler (about 60%) and the Ak Bars Poultry Complex (29%).

In 2020, the profitability of the poultry industry has declined. The main negative impact was the decrease in the price of poultry meat by an average of 10% (due to increased competition among retail chains). Today, for poultry meat, there is an increase in purchase prices by an average of 15 rubles (from 94 to 110 rubles), and this will stabilize production and increase its profitability.

Livestock breeders of the republic in 2020 increased pork production by 5%. On average in the republic, the cost of pork was 94.55 rubles / kg with an increase of 7.5% compared to last year. Despite the risks, in 2020 the pig industry has maintained a steady development with a production efficiency of 27.4%. In January, 8 thousand 100 tons of pig meat were produced (101% by 2020). Of these, the share of "Kamsky Bacon" accounts for about 55%.

As for the production of beef, 23 districts worked with negative dynamics. The main reason is the lack of adequate feeding, as a result - low average daily weight gain.

According to Lenar Garipov, compensatory and stimulating subsidies are provided for the development of beef cattle breeding in 2021. This includes subsidies for the maintenance of the broodstock of beef cows, with the exception of breeding animals, reimbursement of the costs incurred for the construction of a fattening house in the amount of 25% from the federal budget, subject to the maintenance of at least 240 heads, stimulation of development.
