Agro-industrial workers were honored in the Apastovsky district today. During the working visit, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov talked with agricultural producers of the region and got acquainted with the products of local farmers, which were presented in the lobby of the House of Culture.
Farmer Azat Akhmadiev started his business thanks to the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan. He is engaged in the cultivation of greens and vegetables on an area of 24 hectares in the village of Deushevo. The farm employs 8 people, the farmer plans to provide his workers with housing. The farmer's wife Naila Akhmadieva told the minister about the activities of the peasant farm and plans for the future.
"For 10 months we have been driving more than 300 tons of high-quality onions in our areas. We sell all over the Volga region, these are Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, Kirov region, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan. We are planning to apply this year for the Agroprogress program, we need to increase the area, the amount of equipment", said Nailya Akhmadieva to the minister.
At the solemn event, the head of the municipal district Ravil Khisamutdinov made a welcoming speech.
"The region's farmers have successfully completed the tasks set, confirming their high professionalism. The sowing campaign was carried out in a dignified manner. All agricultural enterprises carried out the whole range of spring field work within the established agrotechnical terms, laid a solid foundation for the harvest," said the head of the region.
He noted that there are 8 agricultural enterprises, 16 peasant farms and personal subsidiary plots in the Apastovsky district. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the number of cattle in all categories of farms in the district is 16823 heads, including 4992 dairy cows.
In 2020, milk production in all farms amounted to 23348 tons, 2037 tons of meat products were received, 6466 heads of calves were grown. Also, the area is being updated in material and technical base. In 2020, the district farms purchased 40 units of equipment from domestic and foreign manufacturers for 205 million rubles.

A sufficient amount of feed for productive wintering of cattle has been prepared. Tatarstan confidently holds the leadership in Russia in milk production, providing 6% of all Russian milk, "said Marat Zyabbarov.
He added that the workers of the Apastovsky district make a great contribution to the development of agriculture in Tatarstan.
"The district finished the harvesting campaign with a gross grain harvest of 103 thousand tons, 107 thousand tons of sugar beets were dug up, 1460 tons of rapeseed were obtained. In 2020, the residents were actively involved in the program for the integrated development of rural areas and identification of cattle," the minister said.
He thanked the agronomists, machine operators, livestock breeders, veterinarians and all village workers for their hard work, stressing that they are extraordinary people working in agriculture, who have diligence, hard work and boundless love for their native land, who can carefully transfer this love from generation to generation, to children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The best workers in the agro-industrial sector were awarded letters of thanks and cash prizes.
