The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia discussed the current situation on the market of feed grain and components for compound feed. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov took part in the meeting, chaired by First Deputy Minister Dzhambulat Khatuov.
Currently, the Government of the Russian Federation is taking comprehensive measures to reduce the cost of production of feed components. In particular, export duties on wheat, barley, corn and sunflower are aimed at this. This mechanism will help stabilize prices on the domestic market and, as a result, prevent an increase in the cost of livestock products.
In addition, for the operational monitoring of the price situation on the feed market, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has formed a unified register of manufacturers of these products. The meeting participants analyzed the structure of the cost of feed, discussed the stocks of raw materials and components for their production in the first quarter of 2021, as well as issues of supplying individual regions.
In Tatarstan, there is a tendency towards a decrease in prices for feed grain, and pig and poultry farms of the republic are provided with feed until the new harvest.
