A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan paid a business visit to EkoNiva's production facilities in the Kursk and Voronezh Regions. The main goals of the meeting were to get acquainted with the experience of work in the selection and seed production, dairy production and processing.
In "Zashchitnoye" (Kursk region), the delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov visited the seed production center. They examined the laboratory, studied the operation of production lines and visited warehouses.
“EkoNiva's activities arouse great interest,” noted Marat Zyabbarov. - For a long time we wanted to see everything with our own eyes, learn from experience. The selection and seed production direction is especially interesting. In our republic, we are planning to create a selection and seed production center. We know that EkoNiva has a lot to learn.
The technical capabilities of the Zashchitnoye farm allow producing up to 140,000 tons of seeds per year. One-time controlled storage reaches 100,000 tons of seeds. It is possible to sort up to 500 tons of seeds per day, seven varieties simultaneously on different lines. Shipment of seeds in a seed breeding farm from 700 to 1000 tons per day. Among EkoNiva's breeding achievements are the varieties included in the State Register. These are winter wheat: Cepheus, EN Taygeta, EN Albireo and EN Argenta soybeans. Several more of its own varieties of winter wheat and soybeans are now undergoing state tests.
“The scale of seed production is amazing,” said Linar Zakirov, head of the Bugulma municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. - The breeding program of the company is also at a high level! This is a useful experience for us. I hope that EkoNiva will develop in the same beneficial manner in our republic. We are very pleased that such a large, promising investor has come to our region.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on joint work on the development of breeding and seed production in the Republic: we are talking about joint variety trials, discussion of special educational programs for training industry personnel, as well as ensuring a favorable regulatory environment.
“Our cooperation with Tatarstan is gaining momentum,” commented Yuri Vasyukov, regional director of the Zashchitnoye farm. - More and more farms of the Republic buy our seeds. On the other hand, the cooperation in the scientific field, which we have agreed on today, is even more important. At the first stage, already this agricultural season, a test of our breeding material will be deployed on the lands of Tatarstan: soybeans, spring wheat and spring barley. In autumn, it is planned to conduct the same experiment for winter wheat.
After visiting "Zashchitnoye" the delegation went to the Voronezh region. There, the main points of the visit were the residential complex "Dobrino" (2,800 heads of dairy herd) and the dairy farm in the village of. Shchuchye. At the livestock complex, the delegation was introduced to modern production, told about EkoNivaAgro, its history, production successes and future prospects. Guests from the Republic of Tatarstan were among the first to visit the new cheese factory in the Shchuchye. The capacity of the new enterprise is 60 tons per day (raw materials). The assortment will be represented by hard and semi-hard cheeses. In February, the products will go to federal and regional retail chains, as well as to EkoNiva's brand stores.
