Through competition to quality

In Nizhnekamsk, market mechanisms for supplying and improving the quality of products to catering plants and retail trade networks are being improved.

The most time-tested way to do this is through increased competition. It should escalate with the commissioning of the existing facilities for slaughtering, meat and vegetable processing of the agricultural consumer cooperative "Nizhnekamskiy".

- In May of this year, we won a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan in the amount of 39.8 million rubles, and now our commitment is to build a slaughterhouse and processing plant within two years, employ 50 people and increase the plant's capacity to 20 tons of meat per shift, - says the chairman of the cooperative Yevgeny Abramov.

And these are not just nice words. The cooperative was not created from scratch. For example, Yevgeny Alekseevich has already been working, and not for the first year, a small shop for processing vegetables and meat, there is refrigeration equipment for storage. With a number of suppliers of raw materials, and these are mainly farms and farmsteads of the Nizhnekamsk region, mutually beneficial business relations have been established. 20 tons of meat are purchased and processed per month.

- The cooperative is already working, people in the city are well aware of it, catering enterprises willingly conclude contracts with it, - says the head of the Nizhnekamsk regional agricultural administration Rustem Mavlyaviev. - We expect that with the commissioning of processing facilities for this cooperative, and the growth of its competitiveness, our schools and kindergartens will receive products of the highest quality without interruption.

The cooperative currently has 24 shareholders. These are mainly peasant farms and personal subsidiary plots near Nizhnekamsk. The market calculation of cooperatives is that a guaranteed sales of products will be established as part of a cooperative, and its cost will also decrease due to wholesale purchases of livestock and feed.

Yevgeny Abramov notes: “There is not enough qualified personnel, it is difficult to get loans, there are delays in payment for our products by consumers. But the vector is defined, we have experience, the desire to achieve the goal, and the state supports us. So we will win!
