"Farming in our republic covers almost any need of a modern chef": A final meeting of the Guild of Chefs of Tatarstan was held in Kazan

The Kazan Cooperative Institute hosted the annual meeting of the Guild of Chefs of the Republic of Tatarstan. Guild members reported on the successes achieved despite the circumstances of this year and outlined ambitious goals for 2021.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rishat Khabipov, Head of the Tourism Industry Development Department of the Committee for Tourism Development of Kazan Guzel Salmanova, Executive Director of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan Galina Sharafutdinova made a welcoming speech. The guests noted the importance of good cuisine in the development of the hospitality industry, wishing the industry professionals to continue to delight guests, pass all tests with honor and create new culinary masterpieces.

- Agriculture and farming in our republic cover almost any need of a modern chef of any restaurant, of any level and direction. We import only bananas and some southern fruits. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is ready for active cooperation with the cooks of the Guild to promote farm and agricultural local products. I am sure that many joint projects await us in 2021, '' Rishat Khabipov said.

During its existence, the Guild has attracted the largest specialists of the food and hospitality industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as students and novice specialists. Today the Guild of Chefs of the Republic of Tatarstan has 115 people; by the end of 2021, the Guild plans to admit at least 350 people.

At the end of the event, the best members of the organization were solemnly awarded with diplomas for their active participation in the activities of the Guild. Also, an agreement on cooperation between the Guild of Chefs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kazan Cooperative Institute was signed, which consolidated the already existing mutually beneficial partnership.
