The opening of the Regional Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) of the championship cycle 2020/2021 on a new competence - "Digital Farming" took place at Kazan State Agrarian University. The event was opened by the rector of Kazan State Agrarian University Airat Valiev.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

“For the first time, a new competence“ Digital farming ”has started in the republic. The minister stressed that the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia is implementing the Digital Agriculture project, which has ambitious goals - digital technologies should help to double the productivity of agricultural enterprises by 2024.

“The digital transformation of agriculture requires specialists with new knowledge, as well as new 'smart' solutions that will come to their aid. In the near future, you are faced with the task of implementing the transition of Russian agricultural production to digital technologies, ”said Marat Zyabbarov.

It should be noted that graduates of the Agrarian University are quite in demand on the labor market in the agro-industrial complex. Many employers are trying to attract a young specialist just after the graduation.

At the same time, the university, together with the ministry, is doing a lot for the employment of graduates: meetings with employers, round tables are organized annually. One of these meetings with employers took place today. This allows not only to secure a young specialist in his specialty, but also helps young people to find a job immediately after graduation, build a successful career and find their vocation.
