The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed corruption risks in agriculture and entrepreneurship

On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, in order to draw attention to the issues of crime prevention and the formation of an anti-corruption culture among the population, the ministry held a discussion on the topic: "Corruption risks in agriculture and entrepreneurship."

The event was attended by representatives of state authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, local authorities, youth public associations and activists who are not indifferent to the topic of violations in the field of ecology. In addition, municipalities also joined the discussion via videoconferencing: assistants to the heads of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan on anti-corruption issues and responsible employees of local self-government bodies.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov, Head of the Anti-Corruption Inspection Department Ravia Shrsha, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Sibgatullin, Deputy Head of the Public Reception Office Nikita Valikov, Chairman of the Youth government of the Republic of Tatarstan Alla Abrosimova, as well as representatives of the student community.

During the discussion, the head of the department of anti-corruption inspections of the Office, Ravia Shrsha, spoke about the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan, about activities to combat corruption in vulnerable sectors of the economy, and minimize the causes and conditions for the occurrence of corruption risks.

The representative of the Department drew attention to the corruption risks in agriculture associated with obtaining grant support for farming in the countryside.

First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov spoke about the measures taken by the ministry to minimize corruption risks and violations. To effectively combat corruption, the audit and anti-corruption work department carries out control activities in form of checks on the lawful, targeted and effective use of budget funds, control over the use of subsidies. As part of anti-corruption work, active interagency interaction is carried out, including with law enforcement agencies. The Ministry takes an active part in the process of training on anti-corruption policy for specialists of subordinate institutions and employees of organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Representatives of the youth government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the student community focused on measures of state support for young farmers and housing issues.
