Markets of China: Search for new opportunities and solutions for the development of export of agricultural products

Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov held a meeting with potential exporters of Tatarstan. The main goal of today's event is to intensify work on the export of manufacturers of the Republic of Tatarstan, to promote the development of this area, present the measures of state support for exporters, consulting, search for new opportunities and solutions for the development and increase of export of products of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.

"In accordance with the Passport of the regional project "Development of exports in the Republic of Tatarstan for the period 2019-2024", by 2024 the Republic of Tatarstan needs to achieve the export volume of agricultural products in the amount of 359.9 million US dollars, which is 2 times more than in 2017”, said Marat Zyabbarov.

Alena Shvetsova, representative of the Sky Lex Group, told how to profitably sell the products to China. “The Chinese market is becoming more and more attractive. Vegetable oils, dairy products, alcohol, baby food and confectionery are in demand and are actively imported into the country. For example, Crocant sweets are successfully sold (with an annual turnover of 60 million US dollars). And all Russian-made products in China are included in the “premium line”, which makes it possible to sell them with a high added value, you just need to enter the market correctly, ”explained Alena Shvetsova.

Rodion Kitaev, commercial director of BCS-Broker, spoke about additional opportunities for exporters and the currency control service.

Andrey Spitsky, a representative of the Export Support Center, announced possible measures to support exporters: translations, consultations, assistance in certification, creation of websites in any foreign language and organization of participation in international exhibitions.

Also during the meeting, it was announced that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry can help with the confirmation of Force Majeure, which has become the most in demand during the coronavirus pandemic.

Agricultural producers of Tatarstan have expressed interest in working with the Chinese markets.

“Our goal is to support you, we are ready to work out export issues with each agricultural producer individually,” said Marat Zyabbarov.
