The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan nominated "Vaskino schastye" for participation in the "Tastes of Russia" competition
At the first national competition of regional brands "Tastes of Russia" Zelenodolsk Dairy Processing Plant, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, presented a product that it is especially proud of - Zelenodolskiy Katyk, produced under the Vaskino schastye brand.
This traditional Turkic drink has been considered a drink of youth and health since ancient times. And this is no coincidence, since it contains a large amount of vitamins and trace elements, is easily absorbed and helps to solve digestive problems.
Katyk is an integral part of the Tatar gastronomic culture. JSC "ZMK" produces it in a classic way - on live fungi using baked milk. During the preparation of katyk, the milk heats up, but does not boil, but evaporates and gradually loses up to a third of the water, becomes fatter and richer. At the end of the process, sourdough is added to it. Thus, carefully preserving traditional technologies, ZMK creates a truly natural and healthy product. Note that all products are made only from Tatarstan milk.
- For the production of katyk, our plant uses starter cultures of the best Italian producers. Milk with these fungi is fermented in a special section, where only an employee working with the leaven can enter, because fungi are very sensitive to silence, temperature and light. If something goes wrong, they can get sick, and then you won't be able to prepare the katyk, ”said Roza Garipova, Deputy General Director for Quality at ZMK JSC, about the process of making a product at the plant.
The Zelenodolskiy Katyk has already brought the plant a well-deserved award - a laureate diploma of the competition “100 best goods of Russia” in 2014, and the brand “Vaskino schastye” this year became a winner of the republican competition “100 legendary brands of Tatarstan”.
Zelenodolsk Dairy Processing Plant is one of the leading enterprises in Tatarstan. Every day more than 630 tons of milk of the highest quality is supplied to ZMK from all farms of the republic. The company's products are also used for baby food.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls that on November 19, a popular vote will be announced on the Tastes of Russia website, within which everyone will be able to support his favorite regional brand.
All project participants will be included in the federal program of support and promotion, will have a chance to improve the qualifications of employees, and the winners will get the opportunity to receive support for the growth of demand and sales.
