Top-5 manufacturers of "Chak-chak" in Tatarstan

Today, October 14, is the day of chak-chak. On this occasion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan decided to tell about this national Tatar delicacy, a symbol of Tatar hospitality.

Earlier, the dish was considered exclusively festive, was present at all holidays and significant dates, such as weddings. Nowadays it can be purchased in any supermarket.

So, the first place in terms of production of chak-chak is taken by Kazan bakery №3. In 2019, 1003 tons were produced here. In one of the oldest manufacturers of bakery and confectionery products in the city of Kazan, you can choose one or more of 44 types of this delicacy. For example, 8 types of chak-chak in one box: classic, with poppy seeds, with sesame seeds, with coconut, with puffed rice, with walnuts, with dried apricots, chocolate covered.

The history of the plant, which began in 1939, is rich with events and traditions that have developed thanks to the work and diligence of bakers over many years. JSC "Kazan Khlebozavod No. 3" became the winner of the competition "Best Chak-Chak", which took place last year in the Bulgarian Museum-Reserve within the festival "Chak-Chai" - the II All-Russian gastronomic holiday.

The second place was taken by the Bakery and Confectionery Plant. Here you can buy 27 different types of chak-chak, which differ not only in weight, packaging, but also have different tastes. Last year, BPC produced almost 230 tons of chak-chak.

The third place was taken by Tatpotrebsoyuz. In the consumer cooperation system of the Republic of Tatarstan, an average of 80-90 tons of chak-chak are produced every year. The most active in the preparation of this delicacy are Aznakaevsky, Aktanyshsky, Almetyevsky, Apastovsky, Baltasinsky, Buinsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Sabinsky, Cheremshansky districts.

In Tatarstan, chak-chak is made in different forms: in the form of a slide, cone-shaped, cylindrical, square, portioned balls. In each district, the confectionery product is prepared in its own way.

The fourth place is occupied by Bakery No. 1, which offers traditional, real chak-chak. The enterprise, founded in 2008, holds a leading position in the Tatarstan market for the production of chak-chak - about 80 tons per year. Keeping the traditions of national cuisine, 5 types of delicacies are produced here, in addition, you can buy a souvenir chak-chak in a beautiful festive box. Perhaps this is the best gift with a national flavor!

The fifth place in our rating is taken by Zelenodolsk Khlebokombinat, which offers 16 types of sweet chak-chak. The enterprise produces 50 tons per year. It should be noted that this is one of the leading enterprises for the production of bakery and confectionery products in the Republic of Tatarstan, which provides quality products not only in Zelenodolsk region, but also in cities such as Kazan, Cheboksary and Volzhsk, seeking to develop cooperation with other regions.

The main components of the chak-chak are constant, but its shape changes. To prepare a delicacy, it is enough to melt the honey and sugar, add water and, stirring, cook the syrup. Chak-chak is poured with hot honey, mixed and spread on a dish, giving the desired shape. Optionally, the dessert is decorated with nuts and dried fruits.

Butter, flour, eggs, milk and honey are all you need for a delicious chak-chak.

The benefits of chak-chak for human health are due to natural honey, perhaps everyone has heard about the benefits of this unique product. However, don’t forget about the high calorie content.
