More than 3 thousand hectares of modern irrigated land are commissioned in Tatarstan every year
Today Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov took part in the round table “Priorities of state policy in the field of land reclamation. Prospects for the development of the industry for the period up to 2031", within the framework of the business program of the 22nd Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn - 2020 ".
The round table was also attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, General Director of FGBU Tatmeliovodkhoz Administration Mars Khismatullin, Head of TC Tatmelioratsiya Rustem Sungatullin and other representatives of the agro-industrial complex of the RF subjects.
The panel discussion was moderated by Olga Gatagova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In his speech, Marat Zyabbarov noted that more than 5.4 million tons of grain were received in Tatarstan this year, it is planned to receive 2 million tons of sugar beets, 1.5 million tons of potatoes and vegetables. These results have been achieved thanks to the consistent support of agricultural producers, including in the area of land reclamation.
“We need to steadily reach the production of 5.0 million tons of grain, maintain the production of more than 2.0 million tons of sugar beet and a decent fodder base for the development of animal husbandry. It is impossible without land reclamation, ”Marat Zyabbarov emphasized.
The development of the reclamation complex and the effective use of existing systems and the construction of new ones is one of the priority directions for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region.
The federal institution Tatmeliovodkhoz subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the regional system of design and construction organizations "Tatmelioretsia" annually carry out construction, installation and maintenance work on land reclamation in the amount of about 750 million rubles. More than 3 thousand hectares of modern irrigated land are being commissioned, about 50 GTS are being overhauled, more than 30 water wells are being drilled.
In 2020, reclamation units carried out repair and restoration construction work at 127 reclamation facilities within the federal and republican target programs.
