President of Russia Vladimir Putin, speaking to the members of the Federation Council on September 23, instructed to ensure a balanced development of the country and urged to find reserves to support the development of rural areas.
“We need to ensure precisely the balanced, harmonious, spatial development of Russia, which means equal opportunities for citizens, regardless of where they live and work. In this regard, I ask the government and parliament to pay special attention and find reserves to support the program for the development of rural areas, ”Putin said.
“In the end, this is affordable housing, a modern, well-maintained appearance of our cities and towns, their comfort and unique originality,” the president stressed.
Earlier, the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian Policy and Environmental Management Alexei Mayorov pointed out the need to develop and implement additional measures of state support for rural producers, including the development of effective mechanisms for agricultural insurance, primarily of small industries and farms.
