News from the fields: How wheat of the 3rd class was grown in the Apastovsky district
Farmers of the Ibragimov T.K. farm received more than 2000 tons of high-quality wheat this year. It’s an excellent indicator for a small farm with only 3426 hectares of arable land.
The lack of quality food wheat for the milling industry is a long-standing problem. The wheat must have certain properties, namely: the required quantity and quality of gluten. In addition, starch and protein, alcohol, molasses and syrup, citric acid, fructose and other products used in various industries are produced from wheat grains. Procurement organizations pay a lot for such wheat. In the farm "Ibragimov T.K." this year, more than 52 quintals of grain per hectare were harvested, including 3700 tons of wheat. Almost half of it has already been accepted by procurement enterprises of the 3rd quality class.
Getting high-quality food wheat in the soil and climatic conditions of Tatarstan is a real agricultural art. And not many farms do that, especially in unfavorable weather conditions. For many years, a whole range of technological agricultural practices have been used to ensure that wheat meets high quality standards. In particular, great attention is paid to the correct structure of sown areas, due to which 80% of winter wheat last year was sown in pure fallow, and 20% - in terms of the turnover of perennial grasses, which occupy 900 hectares on the farm (that is more than a quarter of arable land). As the main tillage in the farm "Ibragimov T.K." they apply deep moldboard plowing.
- Mineral fertilizers for the current year's harvest were applied in amount of 72 kg of active ingredient per hectare, - says the agronomist of the farm Albert Khusnutdinov. - Moreover, a significant part was applied in three leaf dressings, enriched with enzymes containing copper and sulfur.
Selection of varieties is important. In the farm "Ibragimov T.K." four varieties of wheat were cultivated this year. Winter wheat "Kazanskaya 560", spring wheat "Ekada 109" and "Hayat" provided high-quality yield. All seeds were treated in a timely manner. The crops were protected by pesticide treatments, the working solution for which was prepared for each field separately.
