In Laishevsky district of Tatarstan, the second stage of the fish breeding complex "Biosphere Fish" was put into operation. The event was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.

The Biosphere Fish complex is designed for reproduction of 8 million sterlet fry per year and reproduction of fish stocks in the territorial waters of the Volga-Vyatka region.

Speaking at the opening of the complex, Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that about 7% of the territory of Tatarstan is occupied by reservoirs, rivers and lakes, where industrial and amateur fishing takes place. To preserve biodiversity, it is necessary to stock fish water bodies annually.

Rustam Minnikhanov recalled that the first plant for the production of sterlet fry was launched in 2018, and there were plans for development. To date, 625 million rubles have already been invested in this project. And not just investments, but also the most modern technologies, as the President of Tatarstan noted.

The project also has a socially significant mission - to do everything possible to make the sterlet disappear from the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan. “Therefore, the project is very important for us,” noted Rustam Minnikhanov.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the owner and investor of LLC "Biosphere-Fish" Vladimir Malygin for his enthusiasm and development of the fish breeding complex.

In a month, the construction of a trout complex will begin here, Vladimir Malygin assured and thanked everyone for the support.

Also, on the territory of the fish-breeding complex, several ponds with a total area of 3 hectares were built for breeding pond fish and the development of a tourist and recreational zone for sports fishing.
