Through the Volga to the Caspian Sea: Tatarstan barley was exported to Iran

25 August 2020, Tuesday

Tetyushsky elevator made the first shipment of grain this year - 18 thousand tons of barley to the Islamic Republic of Iran. We have loaded 8 river ships.

A new enterprise based on the Tetyushsky HPP was formed in April 2019, during this time a lot of work has been done to repair, modernize and build fixed assets.

“We provide a full range of elevator services - acceptance, cleaning, drying, dispensing and storing grain. The shipment is carried out by river transport, through the replacement of transport equipment. The loading capacity has been increased to 80 tons per hour. Now we export grain from the Trans-Volga zone to Iran, and in the future we plan to ship it to Turkey. After the repair works, the receiving capacity was increased to 2000 tons per day, the capacity of one-time storage is 32 thousand tons, ”says General Director Rafael Nizamov.

The new grain cleaning equipment allows you to take crops from the fields directly. The grain is cleaned from various types of impurities, damaged, substandard seeds, which ensures long-term storage of the marketable product.

After that, the grain is loaded onto river ships with a capacity of 2 thousand tons. Water transport goes to Astrakhan along the Volga River, then the grain is loaded onto sea ships and sent across the Caspian Sea to Iran. Since 2019, 19 ships with grain grown in the fields of Tatarstan have already been sent from Tetyushi.

The management of the Tetyushsky elevator is aimed at the further development of the enterprise. “Increase in capacity by 2021 - up to 4,000 tons per day, drying - up to 150 tons per hour, shipping by water transport - up to 100 tons of grain and oilseeds per hour. We plan to export wheat. For this it is necessary to increase capacity, which means that we cannot do without support, ”the General Director shared his plans.

People are one of the main keys to the successful development of production. Today 70 people work here. Some of them have worked at the former for many years, others have come recently and are also trying to contribute to the establishment of a new enterprise, which, they hope, will be in high demand among farmers.
