A seminar on increasing the productivity of arable land was held in Arsk district
Today a seminar on the topic: "The main measures to increase the yield of arable land in the Republic of Tatarstan" with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov was held.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov spoke about the important components of successful and profitable crop production. He paid special attention to the importance of agricultural insurance as a tool for maintaining financial stability and the ability to conduct stable activities regardless of weather conditions, which is especially important for Tatarstan. He also reminded that only agrarians who insured their crops received compensation from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for the death of winter crops in 2019.
Speaking about the formula for the harvest, the deputy minister named 3 of its main components: the number of productive ears, the number of grains in an ear and the mass of seeds. Particular attention was paid to the sowing of winter crops coming literally in a month. Ildus Gabdrakhmanov noted that the choice of predecessors, sowing dates, balanced nutrition, variety selection and autumn protection will become important components of success here.
They also discussed the soil cultivation systems that ensure the preservation of productive moisture. It was announced that the perspective of the plant growing industry is in the combination of technological processes - 5 in 1: pre-sowing treatment, fertilization, sowing, application of biological preparations to seeds and rolling. It was this technique that was presented to farmers in the demonstration fields. The participants of the seminar were able to evaluate it, as well as a whole line of various agricultural machinery in action: from stone pickers to various units for efficient processing of various types of soil.
The participants of the seminar got acquainted with promising varieties of agricultural crops. In particular, cereals, legumes, industrial crops are being tested at the Arsk variety testing plot with an area of 80 hectares; in total, about 300 variety experiments have been laid. This variety is the basic one for determining winter hardiness of winter grain crops. 18 varieties of winter rye, 12 of winter triticale, 24 varieties of winter wheat are currently being tested. In addition, together with the KVS company, the Association of Elite Seeds of Tatarstan, Service-Agro LLC, tests on nutritional backgrounds, the action of plant protection products - 35 experiments were held. Also, production tests were laid on an area of 2 hectares for a comparative assessment of the winter rye of the domestic variety Tantana and the foreign hybrid Aviator. The participants of the seminar were able to study it visually in the field.
In addition, various solutions for the farmers of Tatarstan were presented by such companies as Service-Agro LLC, Eurotechnology Group of Companies, Sabagro LLC, Promintel-Agro LLC, Kazan Agrokhimservice LLC, INKO-TEK Agro Alabuga LLC etc.
At the end of the event, Marat Zyabbarov thanked the head of the Arsk district Ilshat Nuriev for the excellent organization of the event and invited all interested parties to take part in similar seminars that will be held in the near future in Zainsky, Buinsky and Chistopolsky districts.
