Tatarstan will begin to produce low-lactose milk

10 June 2020, Wednesday

Natural milk is an indispensable product for baby food. Children who regularly eat it, grow better, get sick less and need the dentist services less. The most important component of cow's milk is calcium. At the same time, milk also contains other elements that help calcium to be absorbed: phosphorus, vitamin D, magnesium. Calcium strengthens bone tissue, participates in the formation of collagen, therefore, the use of milk is important for the health of adults and even the elderly. But with years, milk is more difficult to digest.

Svetlana Bairasheva, Deputy General Director of Agrosila JSC, told In more detail about this, as well as how to continue to consume milk and get all the benefits from this indispensable product.

“In 2020, we plan to modify the product line and one of the innovations will be the production of low-lactose milk. According to WHO data, with age, one of five people has lactose intolerance (milk sugar). This is due to a lack of a special enzyme in the body that digests milk sugar - lactose. This condition is congenital, but for most of people it develops either with age, or as a result of malnutrition or against the background of diseases of the digestive system. For people who are used to drinking milk from childhood, this causes certain problems - both with digestion and with various allergic reactions. This unique product comes to the rescue. The proportion of lactose in it is reduced to 0.1%, while in ordinary milk its content is on average 4.7%. Due to this, low-lactose milk is easily digested and does not cause any digestive problems, fully preserving all consumer properties, ”says Svetlana Bayrasheva.

According to her, the expansion of the assortment will also touch the halal production, which the company has been actively developing since 2018 - in the production of kefir, katyk, fermented baked milk and sour cream. “We decided to expand the Halal product line, as these products are very demanded. Milk, a product from the curd group and butter will be presented”, added Svetlana Bayrasheva.

Over the past five months, Agrosila-Milk LLC has produced 16 thousand tons of products worth 800 million rubles. On average, the company receives 150 tons of milk, of which 133 types of products are made. At the production site, the gradual replacement of technological equipment, in particular, equipment such as a separator, homogenizer, continues. In August, it is planned to commission the machine for filling cottage cheese in flow-pack bags and a new line for filling sour cream in glasses.

For more information about the product line, modernization of the plant, investment programs and the general market situation, taking into account the impact of the pandemic, they will tell in traditional broadcast of AGROSILA.
