This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.
Recall, on February 6, 2019, a patent for horses of the Tatar breed was registered in the state register. The phenomenal endurance of the Tatar horses, capable of being in continuous motion for 7-8 hours, and covering 100-120 km, resistance to heat and cold is also noted by Russian hippological scientists.
The revival of horses for 8 - 10 years was carried out by Faris Bakirov, a farmer from the village of Akhmetyevo, Alkeevsky District. A grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, which he received through participation in the state program for the development of family farms, was a great support for him.
You can read more about this in the book “Tatar Atlari”, published with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Tatar language. The main pedigree features of Tatar horses are described there: exterior, color, constitution, productive qualities and endurance.
Horses of the Tatar breed became the real property of the Republic of Tatarstan and even managed to take part in the filming of the historical "Zuleikha opens her eyes." The main character goes to the Kremlin on the Tatar horse.
In total, there are 646 Tatar horses in Tatarstan. The originators are 3 farms: "Nabiullin F.M." in Leninogorsk district, peasant farm "Bakirov F.R." in Alkeevsky district and LLC “Plemproductor named after Giniyatullin S.Sh.” in Tyulyachinsky district.
The deputy minister drew attention to the need for the revival of the historical Tatar horse breed. For these purposes, the republic provides subsidies for their acquisition and maintenance. The amount of the subsidy provided for the reimbursement of part of the costs associated with the purchase of a horse stock is 60%, and for the reimbursement of a part of the costs associated with the maintenance of the breeding stock - 20 thousand rubles per 1 head of a Tatar horse. The subsidy is granted annually while holding the horses of the Tatar breed. A condition for granting a subsidy are the pedigree certificates or passports for each horse's head.
