Tatarstan agro-industrial enterprises transfer cars to gas fuel: This is one of the ways to optimize costs

Tatarstan agro-industrial enterprises are converting machinery to gas engine fuel. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Marat Zyabbarov at a meeting in the House of Government, held on Saturday.

Reporting on investments in the republic’s agriculture, the minister noted that the use of gas motor fuel is one of the ways to optimize the costs of agricultural producers and a profitable investment. In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated February 12, 2016 No. 90, the transfer of equipment to gas engine fuel is subsidized in the amount of up to 30% of the cost of conversion.

“The enterprises of the agro-industrial complex operate 491 cars using compressed natural gas,” said Marat Zyabbarov. 13 cars were purchased this year, and 140 were converted.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, now in the Maisky greenhouse complex 42 motor gas vehicles are used, in MTK Ak Bars LLC - 16, in Chelny-Broiler LLC - 64, in Chelny-Khleb JSC - 101 , in the departments of agriculture and food of municipal districts - 81.

So, the company “Chelny-Bread” began to use gas fuel in 2015, today more than half of its fleet consists of vehicles running on methane. Re-equipment of vehicles allowed the company to reduce fuel costs by 6 million rubles this year, - the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan summarized.
