In Tatarstan in the next two years they plan to put into operation 24 new dairy complexes for 17 thousand cows

The dairy industry of the republic will be a growth point in the coming years. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Marat Zyabbarov at a meeting in the House of the Government of Tatarstan.

The meeting via videoconferencing with all municipal regions of Tatarstan was held by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.

Reporting on investments in the agricultural sector of the republic, Marat Zyabbarov said that today the dairy cattle breeding industry is undergoing large-scale modernization, and new high-tech livestock complexes are being built at the farms. This industry, according to the minister, "will be a point of growth in the coming years."

Over the past five years, 28 modern dairy complexes for 30 thousand heads of dairy herds have been commissioned in the republic. “Investments have expanded the possibilities for increasing the number of livestock, increasing the genetic potential and gaining an effect in the form of a 44% increase in the productivity of the dairy livestock, which allowed us to increase the cash proceeds from milk production to 25 billion rubles a year,” the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan explained.

In the next two years, it is planned to put into operation another 24 new dairy complexes for 17 thousand cows. “The implementation of these projects with an investment of about 20 billion rubles will allow the republic to reach the level of production of 2 million tons of milk per year,” said Marat Zyabbarov.

Among other things, in 2020 in the Kukmorsky municipal district it is planned to begin construction of a dairy plant, the capacity of which will allow to process 300 tons of milk per day. According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, "this project is very important for the region and the industry as a whole."
