15 November 2019, Friday

It was announced during the practical seminar “Resource Center for the Development of Cooperation — the Basis for the Development of Rural Areas”. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, representatives of the Central Union of the Russian Federation, Tatpotrebsoyuz, Kazan Cooperative Institute and the Russian University of Cooperation.

The project will be implemented as part of the launch of the Resource Center for the Development of Cooperation in Kazan, which will open in the capital of Tatarstan on November 15.

The pilot stage of the project to create specialized cooperative classes in schools involves the opening of school cooperatives in the Alekseevsky and Alkeevsky municipal regions of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The rural school youth will have real prospects for creating cooperatives specializing in growing agricultural products on school land plots, collecting wild plants, berries and mushrooms and other raw materials. Schoolchildren-cooperators will be able to both hand over raw materials to customers and independently carry out the entire cycle from collection to the sale of their products at fairs.

Chairman of the Council of the Central Union of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zubov, head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and representatives of consumer cooperatives from other regions agreed on organizing cooperative classes and noted that it is necessary to start preparing cooperators from school, from childhood.
