The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed the production of malting barley in the republic
On October 29, a meeting on the development of the agricultural program of AB InBev Efes JSC for the cultivation of malting barley in the republic was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, representatives of the brewing company CJSC EFES, as well as heads of agricultural enterprises.
Representatives of the brewing company spoke about the goals and objectives of this program, the conditions for the implementation of brewing barley, shared foreign and Russian experience in cultivating this culture. This year, the company purchased 8.5 thousand tons of malting barley from agricultural enterprises, plans to increase deliveries to 30 thousand tons in 2020.
At the end of the event, it was decided to expand cooperation to increase the sown area of malting barley between agricultural enterprises and AB InBev Efes JSC.
