The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan spoke about the results of the harvesting campaign and the organization of agricultural farms
Today at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov spoke about the completion of the harvesting campaign in Tatarstan, the organization of agricultural fairs and answered questions from journalists.
According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the crop year is almost over. And now you can summarize the preliminary results of the industry. Excluding corn, the gross grain yield (in the initial weight) amounted to 4.25 million tons, with a yield of 30.1 kg / ha. Leaders in productivity are Tukaevsky district (40.4 t / ha), Mamadysh (40.2), Zainsky (40.1), Aktanyshsky (40.1 t / ha) districts. The leaders by grinding are Tukaevsky (175.3 thousand tons), Arsky (175.1), Aktanyshsky (170.7), Menzelinsky (170.4) districts.
The area of corn for grain and silage amounted to 203 thousand ha (201.5 thousand ha in 2018), about 50 thousand ha of which will be harvested. Gross harvest today is 74.3 thousand tons with a yield of 51.8 c / ha.
The second serious culture for our republic is sugar beet. Its sown area is 63.7 thousand ha (+1.4 thousand ha by 2018). To date, 87% or 55.1 thousand ha have been harvested. Gross harvest is 2 million 439 thousand tons, we plan to collect 2.6 million tons. Yields this year are significantly higher than last year's level of 108 c / ha and amount to 442.5 c / ha. The largest areas of sugar beet are in Zainsky (9.3 thousand ha), Buinsky (8.9), Sarmanovsky (8.5), Tetyushsky (5.8), Nurlatsky (5.4) districts. The highest sugar beet yields are in Tetyushsky (530 c / ha), Zainsky (517), Menzelinsky (506), Aktanyshsky (480 c / ha) districts.
Answering journalists' questions, Marat Zyabbarov noted that this year the situation with sugar is very difficult. In Russia, sugar overproduction is estimated at 1 million tons, and prices respectively fell to 19.5 thousand rubles / ton, compared to about 30 thousand rubles / ton last year, there is a decrease of 35%.
The minister stopped by the autumn agricultural fairs. Currently, there are 15 sites in Kazan, 2 in Naberezhnye Chelny, in the village Osinovo and the village Oktyabrsky Zelenodolsky district which held 7 fair days. In total, products worth a total of 489 million rubles were brought to trading floors. “Prices at fairs are lower than at trade enterprises. For example, for vegetables, the difference reaches 70%. Prior to the fairs and in the process of their holding, the quality of products is constantly monitored by employees of the veterinary service and the Rosselkhoznadzor Office ” said Marat Zyabbarov.
Also the interest of the press was caused by agricultural insurance. Marat Zyabbarov said that 75 thousand hectares (6%) of winter crops were insured in Tatarstan, noting that the state compensates up to 95% of the costs of agricultural insurance.
At the end of the meeting with reporters, Marat Zyabbarov spoke about the Republican contest of combine harvesters, the contest "The best worker of the agro-industrial complex" and measures to support young specialists in the village.
