By the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Agronomy at Kazan State Agrarian University, a new class has opened. The equipment of that one will allow the efficient use of digital technologies in the educational process. The signing of the act and the Round Table on the role of agronomic education in modern crop production that followed, was attended by Ildus Gabdrakhmanov - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The high level of agricultural development allows the republic to provide the population with all the main types of food of its own production. At the same time, as Ildus Gabdrakhmanov noted in his speech, it is impossible to imagine a further increase in the economics and energy efficiency of agricultural production in modern realities without using the latest achievements in plant protection.

“The situation is complicated by the emergence of populations of pests, weeds and new strains of harmful microorganisms that are resistant to the existing base. In this regard, the training of a new generation of agronomists in advanced technologies seems especially important. Cooperation of the Kazan State Agrarian University with one of the world leaders in the production of plant protection products will serve as the basis for further increasing educational practices and intensifying the training methods for young specialists, ”he concluded.

Viktor Borisenko, Bayer Client Marketing Manager, commented on the business’s interest in joining with leading agricultural universities to train agricultural specialists: “It is impossible to achieve technological transformation of the industry without proper professional training. As an innovative company, Bayer strives not only to introduce modern crop production solutions to the Russian market, but also to contribute to training in their effective and safe use. Therefore, developing cooperation with the Kazan State Agrarian University in the field of educational activities, our company set about implementing an IT audience project. We hope that this will allow us to use modern approaches to learning and will provide a new incentive for students to increase competences in crop production. "

The class, which opened on October 23, has eleven classrooms equipped with the latest technology. Its equipment includes computers, an interactive whiteboard and a projector, as well as educational materials.

“Today more than ever, it is important that training methods in the agricultural sector are in line with the technological development of the industry. And the crop sector, which has more than half of the agricultural products produced in Russia, is the most striking example of the transformations taking place against the backdrop of the development of digital technologies. We are proud that the educational process within the walls of the Kazan State Agrarian University, which is the training center for the crop industry of the republic, is built in such a way that our students can be confident in their future, that their aspirations and talents can be appreciated ” - Rector Airat Valiev shared.
