The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of small and medium enterprises in rural areas. Today, in every district there are people who have opened their own business with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. One of them is the farmer Pavel Muklukov from the Kaybitsky district. In 2013, he received a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Beginner Farmer program in the amount of 1.2 million rubles for the cultivation of fruit and berry crops, and today pleases Tatarstan residents with fresh raspberries, even in October.
“Frozen berries in autumn and winter will not surprise anyone, but few will believe ripe raspberries in October. Try it if you don't believe it. We collected I t just yesterday, and today we are serving it at your table, ”says a farmer from Afanasyevka to incredulous townspeople at an agricultural fair in Kazan.
“Last Saturday, one hundred and twenty kilograms of fresh berries were sold out in minutes. Everyone loves such products, - Pavel Muklukov shares, showing his berry possessions. Raspberry grows on an area of 50 acres, in the future they want to expand the plantation to one hectare. Raspberry bushes are strewn with large red berries. But today it is already mid-October! Saplings of this variety were brought from the Moscow Region last year, they gave a crop in the first year: they collected about 500 kilograms. And this year they give the ninth harvest, the harvest of more than one and a half tons of berries. The farmer plans to increase the volume of production and supply to other regions.
The sale of grown products is one of the most important problems of the manufacturer, for this you need to have regular reliable wholesale buyers. Having many years of experience, Pavel Nikolaevich established the sale of berries. Twice a week, wholesalers come to him, buy one hundred kilograms of goods, and on weekends he goes to the city for sale.
This raspberry variety begins to bear fruit from mid-August and pleases with the crop until the frosts. As Pavel Nikolaevich noted, it is also unpretentious. In late autumn, the ground part is completely mowed, organic fertilizer is introduced into the aisles. “No chemistry or herbicides! Environmental safety comes first, ”he says.
Pavel Muklukov is engaged not only in the fruit and berry business. In addition, in his personal subsidiary farm there are 22 heads of cattle: nine cows and bulls for fattening, a hundred geese. Crops, hay and fodder beets are grown.
“My work day begins at half past three in the morning. My family supports me in all matters: my wife Svetlana, who works as a teacher in a kindergarten, son Denis, who decided to follow in my footsteps and studies at an agricultural university. Before leaving for work, Svetlana manages to milk the cows and do a lot of chores. Denis comes for the weekend, he is my first assistant in all matters, ”says the farmer.
Being an agronomist by profession, he has been experimenting for more than a year growing strawberries, currants, potatoes. There were both successes and failures. He is in a constant search, and he only dreams of peace. And, it seems, he has now found something he likes more. “If you work hard, there will be both a crop and an income,” says Pavel Muklukov.
Today, a farmer with his team is collecting fragrant raspberries so that tomorrow morning, they will be able to please the townspeople with fresh berries at the agricultural fair in Kazan on 71a Yamasheva St. (the platform in front of the Bakhetle hypermarket).
