Last week, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, 60 students from various universities of Kazan who want to start their own business in agriculture were trained at the School of the Young Entrepreneur (novice farmer). The training was organized as part of the subprogram “Rural Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2019-2021”.

Over the course of three days of the School, young people learned about support programs for beginning farmers, subsidies to family livestock farms, grants and how to successfully participate in them.

On the first day, school participants were waiting for a meeting with representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the Republic. They discussed issues of youth involvement in rural development and the work of the financial and economic mechanism to support the development of small business.

The educational program continued at the Volga Youth Center. School participants studied the basics of business planning and the legal features of paperwork. The teachers of the Tatar Institute of Retraining Agribusiness Personnel helped them in this.

The second day became practical for students. On this day, they visited the working territories of farmers in the Baltasinsky and Arsky regions, who became winners of grant competitions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Production of the Republic of Tatarstan, and today they are successfully conducting their agribusiness. The farm “Barieva R.Kh.” (Poultry farming) and the farm “Garipov HK” (cattle) are among them. Also participants visited the ostrich farm “Tatar ostrich”, as an example of the development of rural tourism.

Further, a business game was organized for the participants from the chairman of the board of the Kazan ’Zilantkon’ play center, Peter Shilov. The essence of the game was the competent introduction of business accounting.

For three days, the participants conducted an analysis of economic activity and the working out of long-term plans for the development of peasant farms, which they visited. The final works were presented on the last day of the School.

“The school not only enriches with information knowledge, but also develops entrepreneurial potential in practice,” say future farmers. Students received certificates of advanced training on the basics of conducting agribusiness in the conditions of small business forms.

Also, a business project competition was held within the school, the main prize 30,000 rubles for printing services for its product was received by Marcel Yagudin. This amount will be sent to the design of packaging of eggs of own production.
