Marat Akhmetov will open rural sports games Avyl Yashlyar

On September 13, at 11.00, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov will open the final of the rural sports games Avyl Yashlyar.

With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the Aktanyshsky district of Tatarstan the final competitions of the XI summer rural sports games Avyl Yashlyar of the Republic of Tatarstan are held from September 10 to 15.

Rural sports games got the aim of strengthening the health of the rural population and creating conditions for active physical education and sports, developing the most popular sports in the countryside and introducing a healthy lifestyle among the rural population. A mandatory requirement for competitors is living in a rural area.

It is worth noting that the national games in the republic have gained wide scope. They were first held in 1998 in the city of Zelenodolsk, and only 28 districts participated in them. Since 2011, all 43 regions of the republic participate in competitions. The games, held every two years, were hosted by Buinsk, Chistopol, Elabuga, Menzelinsk (twice), Zainsk and Mamadysh.

This year the competition is hosted by the village of Aktanysh. The final competitions will be held in tug of war, mas-wrestling, the national wrestling “Koresh”, athletics, volleyball, table tennis, drafts, chess, badminton and a mini-bast as part of the “Sulamatlek” rural sports program. And, of course, the raisin event will be the competition of milkers and machine operators.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan invites villagers to take an active part, and all those who are not indifferent to the rural way of life - to cheer for the competition participants. Summing up will take place on September 14 at 17.00.
