Tatarstan farmers planted winter crops on more than 10% of the planned area

These days, in a number of municipal districts autumn sowing has already been carried out on more than a quarter of the area reserved for winter crops.

“Today in the republic, winter grain crops have been sown on 65.7 thousand ha, which is 12.1% of the forecast,” said Fargat Zinnatov, deputy head of the department for the development of agricultural sectors of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the expert, 541.3 thousand hectares are planned for winter crops, including about 398 thousand hectares for wheat and 138 thousand hectares for rye. At the same time, winter crops will be sown on green cattle feed on 14.2 thousand ha. “As of August 21, 31.2 thousand ha were sown with winter wheat in the republic, 34.5 thousand ha with rye,” said Fargat Zinnatov.

In a number of municipal areas, autumn sowing was carried out on more than a quarter of the planned areas. So, in Kukmorsky and Sabinsky districts, winter crops were sown on 2.6 thousand ha (32% of the forecast), Arskiy on 4.5 thousand ha (27%), Tyulyachinsky - on 1.5 thousand ha (26%) .

“In our area, it is planned to sow about 16 thousand ha with winter crops, including rye - over 12.2 thousand ha, wheat - 3.8 thousand ha. Today, we have sowed winter rye on 4.5 thousand ha, ”said Renat Gatiyatov, head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Arsk District.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of August 21, Arskiy district ranks first in terms of the area where autumn sowing was carried out. Second place in this indicator belongs to the Alkeevsky district, where winter wheat and rye are sown on 4.4 thousand hectares, the third place is occupied by the Sarmanovsky district - 2.9 thousand hectares.
