Today, under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Titov, was held a meeting on the preparation of the festive event "Gardener's Day 2019". The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Rishat Khabipov, deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Valery Vlasov, chairman of the Tatarstan Gardeners Union Vladimir Deinekin, as well as representatives of executive committees of municipal districts and district associations of gardeners of the Republic of Tatarstan.
By the Decree of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan dated 11.07.2019 No. 2986-V GS, the first Saturday of September is set as a holiday - Gardener's Day.
In 2018, at the site of the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park on September 15, a festive exhibition-festival of gardening "Gardener's Day 2018" ("Bakcha-2018") was organized, in which more than 8 thousand people took part. The holiday was visited by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials.
The event featured expositions of horticultural non-profit partnerships of Verkhneuslonsky, Nizhnekamsk, Pestrechinsky, Tukaevsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Laishevsky, Almetyevsky districts, as well as the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, including fruit and vegetable products, garden equipment, agricultural equipment and planting material.
Given the interest of citizens and in order to develop horticulture and vegetable gardening during the discussion, it was also decided to hold a festive event this year. Proposals for the format of the holiday have already been submitted by associations of gardeners of Agryzsky, Zelenodolsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Laishevsky, Nizhnekamsky, Tukaevsky, Pestrechinsky districts and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
Gardener Day 2019 will be held on September 21 at the site of the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park. The Ministry invites residents of the republic to participate in the festival.
