Today, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the livestock industry for the 1st half of 2019. The meeting was held by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Hazipov.
The event was attended by consultants on animal husbandry, heads of breeding services of agricultural and food departments in municipal districts and other responsible persons
At the beginning of the meeting, Nazip Hazipov briefed on the results of animal husbandry for the 6 months of the current year. In his speech, he focused on the issues of milk and meat production, as well as the safety of livestock.
To date, the number of cattle in the republic is 722.7 thousand heads, including 242.9 thousand of cows; 451.6 thousand heads of pigs, sheep and goats - 59.5 thousand heads, horses - 19.7 thousand heads, birds - 15.1 million heads. For 6 months of this year, agricultural enterprises produced 670.9 thousand tons (104%) of milk, produced 200.1 thousand tons of meat (102%), including cattle - 49.0 thousand tons (99%), pigs - 44.7 thousand tons (105%) and poultry - 105 thousand tons (102%).
According to the deрuty minister, the number of cattle since the beginning of the year increased in Baltasinsky, Mamadysh, Sabinsky, Kukmor, Buinsk, Drozhzhanovsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Sarmanovsky, Cheremshansky and Atninsky municipalities. The number of horses increased in Alkeevsky, Sabinsky, Baltasinsky, Novosheshminsky, Pestrechinsky and several other areas. At the same time, the livestock of horses, the Tatar breed contains 655 horses.
In the republic, as of July 9, the gross daily milk yield in agricultural organizations and peasant farms is more than 4,000 tons, which is 139.6 tons or 103.6% more than in the same period last year. Earlier, we wrote that in June, for the first time, the republic overdone the 4000-tonne milk production per day.
Almetyevsk, Baltasinsky, Nizhnekamsk, Kukmorsky, Alkeevsky, Aktanyshsky, Sabinsky, Nurlatsky, Buinsky, Atninsky, Alekseevsky, Tukayevsky and Tetyushsky districts have the largest growth in milk production.
Further, the participants of the event talked about meat production. Vysokogorsky, Mamadyshsky, Kukmorsky, Rybnoslobodsky, Tyulyachinsky, Zelenodolsky, Sarmanovsky, Aksubayevsky and Cheremshansky districts are the best in this direction.
It should be noted that in the republic in order to improve the herd of cattle in all farms, including private farms, for reproduction it was recommended to carry out the procedure of artificial insemination, which allows obtaining healthy offspring. The direct results of the work in the districts at the end of the event were reported by Rustem Saitov, head of the department of reproduction of pedigree cattle of the state institution “State Agricultural University of Breeding in Animal Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
