On April 23, the Ministry discussed the prospects for the development of the dairy industry for 2019-2020. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, with the participation of State Duma deputy of the fifth convocation, President of the National Union of Milk Producers Ayrat Khairullin, Director General of the National Union of Milk Producers Artem Belov, as well as leading producers and processors milk of the republic.
Opening the event, Marat Akhmetov noted that Tatarstan is the largest milk producer in Russia. “Dairy farming is fateful for Tatarstan. Producers and processors of milk to solve common problems should unite in an alliance that will represent the interests of the industry".
Airat Khairullin reported on measures of state support and prospects for the development of the dairy industry in Russia and abroad. He noted that the task of the National Union of Milk Producers "SoyuzMoloko" is to unite milk producers and processors, whose interests are diametrically opposed. “If one needs to sell more, then it is cheaper to buy to others. Our task is to find a balance, ”he said, and spoke about the importance of interaction with regional unions working in this field.

The Union of Milk Producers of Tatarstan is tasked with increasing the competitiveness of domestic milk producers, representing and protecting the rights, legal interests of dairy producers and processors, interacting with federal legislative and executive authorities in terms of drafting legislative and regulatory acts governing the production, processing and sale of milk and promoting development of integration relations of milk producers and associations with meat and milk processing enterprises, enterprises of the feed mill industry, organizations of trade in livestock products and other market entities.
Marat Akhmetov recommended all producers and processors of milk in Tatarstan to become members of the Union and take an active part in its work.
Also during the meeting, Nazip Hazipov reported on measures to improve the efficiency of the dairy industry and milk quality. In his report, he examined the districts and farms of the republic and gave an assessment of their work. The Head of the Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan - Chief State Veterinary Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khisamutdinov informed about the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of milk and dairy products."
