12 September 2017, Tuesday

AO “Agrosila” is implementing the project on inclusion of camelina oil into the diet of poultry at “Chelny-Broiler” poultry plant. Camelina was processed at a rape plant included into the complex of Naberezhnye Chelny grain elevator. Out of 37 tons of camelina 8.9 tons of oil and 28.1 tons of press cake were produced.

“The program was developed so that to reduce production costs but at the same time to keep weight gain and livability of chicken-broilers on the same level. Our experimental group includes 135,000 heads of poultry, which have a special feeding program with camelina oil in the diet. Within the experiment, we will carry out daily and weekly control over the performance figures. The first results will be received in 38 days”, - said Chief Zoo-Technician at OOO “Chelny-Broiler” Viktor Gafurov.

According to the words of specialists of AO “Agrosila”, camelina was one of the most promising oil crops. It is quite easy-to-keep compared with other oil crops, which lets agricultural producers receive good yield despite weather conditions. 6,800 ha of fields were sown with camelina in “Agrosila” agro-firms of Aznakaevo, Sarmanovo, Tukaevo, Zainsk and Muslyumovo municipal districts in 2017.
