The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: the aim is to clear 3.5% of fields daily

Tatarstan has the task to clear 3.5% of fields with agricultural crops every day. It was stated today by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov at a press conference in IA “Tatar-Infrom”.

It is worth reminding that this year the total sowing area of the republic is 2.9 million ha, where 477,800 ha of fields are occupied with winter crops and 1,076,200 ha – with spring grains. “In total, 1,475,000 ha of fields with grains and pulses (excluding corn), have to be cleared. As of today, 23% of fields have been already cleared”, - noted the speaker.

1.2 million tons of grain have been milled in the republic at the average crop yield of 36.8 dt/ha. “In comparison with the figures of 2 previous years, this year we are falling behind. However it is not right to blame somebody for the situation because we started harvesting 2 weeks later due to the circumstances, that is why the grain yield is not rich at the moment”, - said the deputy minister.

The leading districts in harvesting are Buinsk (13,400 ha have been cleared), Chistopol (13,000 ha), Zainsk (12,700 ha), Alekseevskoe (11,900 ha), Almetyevsk (11,000 ha) and Novosheshminsk (10,900 ha) municipal districts.

“About 3,500 combine harvested are exploited in the harvesting campaign this year. We has set a task to clear 3.5% of fields with agricultural crops every day, so that in August to harvest winter crops first of all. More areas will be cleared in September. The same situation is with rape. There are a lot of fields with rape and we will have to clear them in September due to the weather conditions”, - informed Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.

One combine harvester can clear 455 ha of fields on average. According to the speaker’s words, the potential of combine harvester fleet is used best of all in Zainsk municipal district. “This past day the most effective work has been carried out in Zainsk municipal district – 152%. Not only Zainsk combine harvested are exploited here, but also those brought from other districts. Tetyushi, Nizhniy Kamsk, Sarmanovo, Rybnaya Sloboda, Aktanysh, Arsk and Novosheshminsk municipal districts also exploit combine harvester fleet very well. However, there is a number of districts which fall behind. For example, Bugulma municipal districts use only 48% of its combine harvesters’ potential. Of course, the situation is bad not because of machinery but because of poor organization. Aznakaevo, Pestretsy, Agryz, Verkhniy Uslon and Tukaevo municipal districts do not use their harvesting potential in full”, - stated the minister.

Deputy Minister emphasized that the weather conditions are favourable for harvesting. “According to the weather forecast, the weather will be favourable for harvesting till August 25, 2017”, - he said.

Ildus Gabdrakhmanov noted that the President of the Republic of Tatarstan had made a decision to grant 200 rewards amounted to 100,000 rubles each to the best combine harvester operators.
