Honey harvest in Tatarstan

Honey harvest keeps going on in Tatarstan. “Honey yield is expected to be not less than it was last year, there is no negative outlook”, - said Farit Valiullin, Director Deputy at the SBI “Directorate for Beekeeping”.

He also stated that there were 253,000 bee families in the republic. In every district there are observation hives which show honey gain. “The average honey gain is 3.5-4 kg per day, there are some districts where the figure is 6-9 kg, - noted Farit Valiullin. – Linden and buckwheat are blossoming now. It is the best time to gather nectar”.
